Talks on allowing Polish beef to enter the market of the Republic of Korea

The meeting at the MARD was a continuation of the dialogue conducted during Adam Nowak’s visit to South Korea on 24–26 September 2025. The key subject remains the acceleration of procedures for approving Polish beef for export. Poland stresses high standards of food safety, transparent veterinary supervision and the growing export potential of the industry. Enabling deliveries to the Korean market would provide Polish producers with access to one of the most demanding and, at the same time, most dynamic markets in Asia.

Presentation of the potential of the Polish sector

During the talks, the Korean partners were presented with the export offer of Polish producers of beef, while discussing the issues of quality, certification and logistics.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the General Veterinary Inspectorate and the National Support Centre for Agriculture, who presented the system of veterinary supervision and the opportunities for cooperation.

Mission of the importers from South Korea in Poland

The visit of the Korean importers is held as part of the project entitled “Beef from Poland in the Republic of South Korea – an incoming mission to Poland” organised by the Union of Producers and Employers of Meat Industry (UPEMI). The project is co-financed by the Beef Promotion Fund, and its objective is to promote Polish beef and to create stable trade relations.

Another step towards opening the market

The Ministry of Agriculture continues its efforts to gain new outlet markets for Polish agri-food products. Today’s talks are an important stage in the process, which is to lead to the full opening of the market of the Republic of Korea for Polish beef.
