Competences
1. Defines the tasks to be executed and supervises their execution in matters covered by the scope of activities of the Plant Breeding and Protection Department, Legal Department, Organic Farming and Food Quality Department and Agricultural Markets and Energy Transformation of Rural Areas Department, in particular concerning:
- plant breeding and seed production,
- fertilisation and assessment of its environmental impact,
- conservation of genetic resources,
- genetically modified plants with regard to the supervision of crops and the registration, application and marketing of seed material of genetically modified varieties,
- registration of plant protection products,
- phytosanitary supervision and plant protection,
- registration of fertilisers and plant cultivation aids,
- legal and legislative service of the Ministry,
- organic farming and organic production,
- registration and protection of geographical indications,
- national food quality systems,
- commercial quality of agri-food products,
- standardisation in agriculture and agri-food processing,
- regulation of agricultural markets under the Common Agricultural Policy and markets for potatoes, spirits, aromatised wine sector products, fermented wine beverages and beer,
- agricultural cooperatives, groups of agricultural producers and their associations, producer organisations and their associations, inter-branch and international organisations,
- agri-food processing,
- functioning of the agri-food supply chain,
- agricultural statistics and agricultural market research,
- use of renewable energy sources;
2. supervises the activities of:
- Research Centre for Cultivar Testing,
- Agricultural and Food Quality Inspection,
- National Chemical and Agricultural Station,
- State Plant Health and Seed Inspection Service;
3. is responsible for cooperation with the Sejm of the Republic of Poland and the Senate of the Republic of Poland.
Biography
A graduate in law from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. Professionally associated with the Biłgoraj City Hall, where she serves as an inspector for social affairs, health, and physical culture. In the past, she ran a business consulting company specialising in securing financial support for entrepreneurs, farmers, and non-governmental organisations.
Born and raised in the village of Rakówka in the Biłgoraj poviat, she and her husband manage an organic farm in Korchów Drugi, also located in Biłgoraj poviat.
She has been socially active for many years, engaged in the work of non-governmental organisations. She was a member of the Council for Senior Policy of Lubelskie Voivodeship and chaired the first term of the Council for Public Benefit Activity of Lubelskie Voivodeship. She currently serves as a member of the Regional Committee for the Development of the Social Economy of Lubelskie Voivodeship.
She has also served as chair of the Regional Council of Voluntary Blood Donors at the Polish Red Cross in Biłgoraj. At present, she is the vice-president of the local Women’s Association (Koło Gospodyń Wiejskich) and an active volunteer.
As a Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland (10th term), she actively cooperated with agricultural communities. She chaired the Parliamentary Group for the Protection and Development of Polish Agricultural Production, effectively pursuing initiatives in support of the Polish agricultural sector.
