Today, Minister of Agriculture Czesław Siekierski and Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi met online to talk. This was the first meeting between the new Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and his Ukrainian counterpart.

On 11 December, the meeting of the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Ministers began in Brussels. In the Sunday session, Poland was represented by Secretary of State Janusz Kowalski.

Today, Secretary of State Lech Kołakowski met with HE Loo Choon Yong, the Non-Resident Ambassador of Singapore to Poland. The meeting concerned the opportunities for intensifying the cooperation in the agricultural sector. The interlocutors paid much attention to the issues of food security and the development of trade in agri-food products.

Today, President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, at the request of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, appointed Anna Gembicka as Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The aim of the meeting of Secretary of State Anna Gembicka with the delegation of Tanzania on 22 November 2023 was to exchange knowledge and experiences and to present Polish solutions in the area of support for women in agriculture. The purpose of the visit by the delegation of Tanzania was also to intensify trade between the countries.

Monday’s meeting of the EU Agriculture and Fisheries (AGRIFISH) Council in Brussels addressed important issues related to agriculture, fisheries and forestry. The Polish delegation was headed by Mr. Robert Telus, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
