Today, Mr. Ryszard Bartosik, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, met with the representatives of the administration and business of Angola and Tanzania visiting Poland at the invitation of the Association for Innovation in Agriculture.

The EU Agriculture Ministers discussed the role of technologies in the agri-food sector during their informal meeting in Cordoba on 4-5 September 2023. The Polish delegation was headed by Mr. Robert Telus, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. Together with the frontline states, Poland called on the European Commission to take action to address the huge problems on the agricultural markets which had been caused by the war in Ukraine.

Today, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Robert Telus, is attending the meeting of the informal Council of Ministers of Agriculture of the European Union, which is taking place in Cordoba, Spain. The plenary session was preceded by a meeting of the five ministers of the so-called frontline countries: Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary.

Challenges for Poland's agricultural sector in the current geopolitical situation, including relations with foreign partners, were the topic of yesterday's meeting between Secretary of State Janusz Kowalski and U.S. Congress’ staffers, recipients of the Atlantic Council's Eurasia Congressional Fellowship Program.

Yesterday, the HKTDC Food Expo Pro fair began in Hong Kong. It also included the Polish national stand organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The transit of Ukrainian agri-food products to third countries through the Polish territory was the subject matter of today’s meeting of Minister Robert Telus with Mr. Mykola Solskiy, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Today, Secretary of State Ryszard Bartosik met with Mr. Daniel Lawton, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Poland. The Deputy Minister presented the Polish position and expectations as to the transport of agricultural products from Ukraine.

The meeting of the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council (AGRIFISH) in Brussels addressed important, current issues related to agriculture. It was the first meeting of the Agriculture and Fisheries Ministers under the Spanish Presidency. The Polish delegation was headed by Mr. Robert Telus, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
