On 26 January 2022, Mr. Krzysztof Ciecióra, Undersecretary of State, met with a delegation of the Republic of Serbia, specifically representing the Parliamentary Group for Friendship with Poland of the Skupshtina Assembly, headed by Mr. Veroljub Arsić. The meeting was attended by experts of the MARD, the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture and the General Veterinary Inspectorate.

The Secretary of State Ryszard Bartosik attended a meeting of the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council in Luxembourg. It was the first meeting of agriculture and fisheries ministers under the French presidency.

Henryk Kowalczyk, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Stella Kyriakides, the European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, had an on-line meeting today.

Undersecretary of State Krzysztof Ciecióra took part in the meeting of the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council in Brussels. Issues concerning agriculture and fisheries were discussed during the meeting.

This year’s SIAL Middle East – one of the region’s largest and most important trade fairs for the food and beverage industry – opened on 7 December in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Poland’s presence at this event takes the form of a Polish national stand.

Secretary of State Ryszard Bartosik met with a delegation from the Committee for Agricultural and Environmental Affairs of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, headed by Jaroslav Karahuta. The meeting was also attended by Vice-Chairman of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee of the Polish Sejm Kazimierz Gwiazdowski, experts from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and a representative from the National Support Centre for Agriculture.

The most important subjects discussed during the meeting of the Council included: the situation in the agricultural markets and the adoption of the Council conclusions on the new EU forest strategy for 2030.

In New Delhi, the Polish Embassy organised an evening promoting Polish apples and apple products on 29 October under the name "Polish Apple Night”.
