executes the Minister's tasks concerning plant breeding and seed production, fertilisation and the assessment of its impact on the environment, protection of gene resources, genetically modified plants in the scope of supervision of cultivation and registration, use and marketing of seed material of genetically modified varieties, use and trade of seed material of genetically modified varieties, registration of plant protection products, phytosanitary supervision and plant protection, as well as registration of fertilisers and plant growing aids.
