Polish food invites the world. Opening of the Polish stand at the Green Week in Berlin
16.01.2026
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Stefan Krajewski and Deputy Minister Jacek Czerniak opened the Polish national stand at the Green Week International Agricultural and Food Fair in Berlin. The 100th jubilee edition of the fair is one of the key opportunities for Poland to promote national food and export offer on international markets, and for visitors - a chance to meet directly with Polish producers and their products.
– Poland tastes good – this is the whole truth about Polish food. We are here to show that Polish food is very good, safe and trustworthy. This is the result of the joint work of farmers, processors and producers, who build its quality and recognition across the world year by year – stressed Minister Stefan Krajewski during the opening of the stand.
Poland’s record presence in the jubilee edition of the fair
This year’s edition of Green Week has a special dimension for Poland. The Polish stand occupies a record area of 749 sq.m., and more than 80 producers supported by eight voivodeships present their offer there.
– This is one of the largest and most visible national presentations at the fair. For producers, the Green Week in Berlin is mainly an opportunity to meet and talk with business partners from many countries – assessed Deputy Minister Jacek Czerniak.
– This event is organised primarily for producers. We want these days to be a time of talks, building relations and establishing business contacts – stressed Minister Stefan Krajewski. – The greater the visibility of the Polish offer, the greater the chances for further contracts and the permanent presence on foreign markets.
Quality and safety in the spotlight
During the opening, the Minister pointed out that the strength of Polish food was the combination of high quality, safety and regional diversity.
– Polish food would not be here today if it were not for consistent activities for it and supervision of institutions and inspectorates that care about the safety of products – said Stefan Krajewski. – Each product is also the history of the region and the people behind it. We want to show and use this diversity here.
The stand presents both traditional products and modern products responding to the changing expectations of consumers in Europe and all over the world.
Export as a pillar of the development of the sector
The Green Week in Berlin is one of the key events supporting the development of Polish food export. Since the accession of Poland to the European Union, the agri-food export value has increased tenfold, reaching EUR 53.8 billion in 2024.
– Germany remains our largest business partner in the agri-food sector. It is here that more than a quarter of products exported by Poland to the European Union market are sent – emphasised the Minister. – Therefore, our presence at the fair in Berlin is of special importance to us.
The fair in Berlin is not only a place to strengthen relations with existing business partners, but also a space to establish new business contacts. Thanks to the presence of producers and regions, it is possible to simultaneously develop cooperation on the markets that are already served and to search for new sales fields.
– In the current geopolitical situation, the search for new outlet markets and diversification of export destinations becomes particularly important – highlighted the Minister. – That is why it is so important for the administration, producers and regions to work together and to be present at events that really connect Polish companies with foreign partners.
Invitation to the Polish stand
Every year, the International Green Week in Berlin, organised interruptedly since 1926, attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from Germany and abroad. For producers, it is a space for business talks, and for consumers – an opportunity to learn about the offer from various regions of Europe.
– We warmly invite all participants in the fair to visit the Polish stand, talk with producers and taste our specialties – encouraged Minister Stefan Krajewski. – I am convinced that the quality and taste of Polish products are their best recommendation.
Poland’s presence at the Green Week in Berlin is an element of broader actions aimed at strengthening the export and searching for new outlet markets for domestic producers. The fair is a space for direct business talks, presentation of the offer and building long-term trade relations with partners from various parts of the world.
