‘We want more Polish products to reach Vietnamese customers. That is why we are working on market access procedures while also showing potential partners how production is carried out at our plants and how we ensure food safety,’ said Minister Stefan Krajewski.

The discussions focused on opportunities to increase sales of Polish meat and meat products and on the veterinary requirements that exporters must meet. The current status of procedures for granting Polish products access to the Vietnamese market was also discussed.

Representatives of the National Support Centre for Agriculture presented activities promoting Polish food in Vietnam. Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer Karolina Florek also took part in the discussions.

‘During the meeting, representatives of Vietnamese companies emphasised that they are interested not only in information indicating that a product originates from the European Union, but also in clear labelling identifying it as a Polish product. This demonstrates that Polish food is very well received by Vietnamese consumers and that they actively seek out our products,’ said Minister Stefan Krajewski after the meeting.

The visit by the Vietnamese delegation was organised by the Union of Producers and Employers of the Meat Industry under the ‘EU Good Food – Good Life’ programme. The programme is co-financed by the European Union, the Beef Promotion Fund and the Pork Promotion Fund. As part of the visit, representatives of Vietnamese companies and media outlets are also visiting Polish meat processing plants.

Exports to Vietnam

Vietnam is the largest market for Polish agri-food products in Asia. In 2025, exports reached nearly EUR 230 million, approximately 19 per cent more than a year earlier.

From January to June 2026, sales of Polish food to the Vietnamese market amounted to EUR 111.5 million, 3 per cent less than in the corresponding period of 2025. Poland primarily exports meat and meat products, fish and dairy products to Vietnam.
