We are strengthening cooperation with Montenegro in the area of agriculture
18.11.2025
The possibilities of further development of cooperation in the area of agriculture between Poland and Montenegro were discussed by the Undersecretary of State Adam Nowak and the Ambassador of Montenegro to Poland Veljko Milonjić. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Poland’s perspective
Deputy Minister Adam Nowak stressed that Poland saw the accession of the Western Balkan countries, including Montenegro, to the European Union as an opportunity and stimulus for development.
– This will be an important stage in building the security and stability of the region. We are of opinion that the enlargement process should result from established principles and be consistent with substantive criteria. Our experts are ready to share their knowledge and experience of the transformation of agriculture toward meeting the requirements of the European Union and the accession process – stressed the Undersecretary of State.
Trade
– Trade in agri-food products between Poland and Montenegro is growing, and we see opportunities for its further development, for the benefit of both parties – assured Deputy Minister Nowak and reminded that Polish food products – known and appreciated all over the world – were famous for their highest quality while the EU standards guarantee their safety.
