Poland in Cyprus

On the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Poland, we are pleased to convey to all Poles living in Cyprus greetings from the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk.

As the world is slowly recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, it is entering an era of uncertainty. Faced with new threats and challenges, we need a fresh perspective on geopolitical realities. It is the strength of national economies that will ultimately ensure citizens’ security.

The anniversary celebrations took place on October 20th in Nicosia.

The second day of the President's visit to the Republic of Cyprus began with a meeting with the President of the House of Representatives, Mrs Annita Demetriou.

On October 7-8, the President of the Republic of Poland, Mr Andrzej Duda and Mrs Agata Kornhauser-Duda, pay an official visit to the Republic of Cyprus.

The charging fees issues for educational services by public universities are regulated in the Act of 20 July 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science, and in the case of non-public universities, they result from the internal regulations of these universities.

Recently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been receiving reports of phone scams in which fraudsters claim to be either MFA’s employees or employees of Polish missions abroad to get the call recipients perform certain actions, especially money transfers. Usually, during the phone conversation scammers will inform you that you have failed to follow certain procedures or provided partial or false data while filling out forms, which will allegedly bring about legal consequences.

On 16th June the ceremony of handing over 80 pre-fabricated houses for the new Reception Centre for Applicants for International Protection “Limnes” in the Larnaca district was held.
