On 5 September 2020 the Polish School at the Embassy of Poland in Copenhagen inaugurated a new school year. The head of the school Mrs. D. Schrieder pointed to the fact that for many students it was the first opportunity to meet in person after the difficult time of the pandemic. The letters of the Minister for National Education D. Piontkowski and the director of ORPEG A. Radecka addressed to students and teachers were delivered. Amb. H. Mościcka-Dendys, whose mission to the Kingdom of Denmark comes to an end, thanked the entire school community for their cooperation and commitment to integrating the youngest representatives of the Danish Polish community. “The Polish School in Copenhagen has always been a place I visited with great pleasure. Thank you for all the joyful moments I experienced here and the numerous gestures of friendship. Remember that you are all Polish ambassadors in your community’s everyday life and it is in you that our Danish friends see Poland”, emphasized amb. H. Mościcka-Dendys.

This year's school year start coincided with the so-called National Reading, for which the Presidential Couple chose Juliusz Słowacki's iconic drama "Balladyna", one of the greatest masterpieces of Polish romanticism. Students of the Polish School in Copenhagen read excerpts of the drama, giving the youngest audience an opportunity to get to know the two sisters Alina and Balladyna, through whose fairy-tale story the fight between good and evil is being portrayed in yet another dimension.
