Meeting with translator Rune Larsen at the Polish Embassy in Copenhagen

The art of the translator's work was the topic of the meeting of students of Polish Studies at the University of Copenhagen with Rune Larsen, the author of translations of i.a. W. Gombrowicz, A. Sapkowski and comics of J. Christa.

On 29 October, students visited the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Copenhagen, where they had the opportunity to learn from Rune Larsen, a graduate of the University of Copenhagen, about the work of an embassy’s translator and a book translator. R. Larsen shared with students his experiences and knowledge about the prospects after graduating from Polish Studies and the possibility of entering the book translation market. The meeting was followed by discussion.

Rune Larsen is the author of translations from Polish into Danish of the following titles: “Cosmos” by W. Gombrowicz, series of novels about the Witcher by A. Sapkowski, comicss from the Kajko and Kokosz series by J. Christa, and books for young readers about architecture and design from the S.E.R.I.A..
