Meetings with the Speaker of the Parliament and the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark

As part of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, our Embassy hosted meetings of EU Heads of Mission in Copenhagen with leading Danish politicians.
At the invitation of Chargé d'affaires Ewa Dębska, on 28 January we hosted Søren Gade, Speaker of the Folketing and previously Denmark's Minister of Defence for many years. The conversation among representatives of EU countries was an opportunity to reflect on the challenges facing Europe, with a particular focus on security issues.
The guest of the second of the HoMs meeting held as part of the Polish Presidency was Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Minister for Foreign Affairs and leader of the Moderates, former Prime Minister of Denmark. Security issues and the current geopolitical situation were the main topics of discussion with the EU Heads of Mission.
