Easter greetings from the Embassy of Poland in Copenhagen

The decision to close Polish borders to foreigners was extended until 14th of April.

In order to smoothen the transport of goods via the Polish – German border simplified measures for border control and four additional border crossing points have been opened, including one dedicated to live-stock in Guben-Gubinek.

As of Sunday, 15 March 2020 Poland closed its borders to foreigners. The restrictive measures will be applied for 10 days, but may be further extended. International passenger air flights and international rail travel have been suspended for 14 days. Transport of goods within the EU’s single marked is exempted from the above.

In order to limit the spread of COVID-19 on 15 March 2020 the government of Poland introduced a series of restrictive measures, including a ban for foreigners to enter the country. These restrictions have no impact on the transport of goods.

The world premiere of works composed to Adam Zagajewski’s poems by the Argentinian composer Pablo Ortiz took place on 23rd of February 2020 in Koncertkirken.

Adam Zagajewski, Poland’s greatest living poet, visited Copenhagen meeting with the students of University of Copenhagen as well as the Polish diaspora.

“Denmark is Poland’s special partner. Security is an important area of Poland’s and Denmark’s common interests. We highly value cooperation in NATO,” said the Polish top diplomat during his one-day visit to the Kingdom of Denmark.

Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the first coalition meeting at political level after recent events in the Middle East that led to the temporary suspension of international coalition’s training of Iraqi security forces.
