The Danish city of Esbjerg hosted the final of one of the largest sailing events in the world - The Tall Ships Races 2025.

Among the striking ships from around the world, there were also Polish sailing ships, which could be visited during the finale of the show. Alongside the legendary Dar Młodzieży – one of the most recognisable sailing ships – six other units from Poland were present.

The regatta finale provided also an opportunity to mark a special moment – the 400th anniversary of the first Danish representation in Gdańsk. To celebrate this occasion, our Embassy organised a meeting on board Dar Młodzieży with our Danish friends. Among the guests invited by the Head of Mission Ewa Dębska were representatives of local authorities, business community and partners cooperating with Polish institutions. A letter from the Mayor of Gdańsk, Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, was read out during the event, in which she emphasised the lasting ties between Gdańsk and Denmark and the centuries-old history of cooperation between our nations.

The event was organised in cooperation with polennu.dk and the office of the Polish Tourist Organisation, which prepared a quiz about Gdańsk with small gifts for the participants.
