Polish-Danish concert as part of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival
09.07.2026
Our Embassy joined this year's Copenhagen Jazz Festival celebrations by hosting a unique Polish-Danish concert. The event brought together two musical traditions and showcased the results of artistic cooperation between musicians from Poland and Denmark.
In July, Copenhagen once again became a centre of world-class jazz thanks to the Copenhagen Jazz Festival – one of the most important music events in Denmark and across Scandinavia.
As part of this year’s festival programme, the Embassy hosted a concert within the framework of the Mellem–Lawiracje–Verdener project, highlighting collaboration between Polish and Danish artists.
The specially curated programme was performed by Anders Fjeldsted, Karolina Śmietana, Luboš Soukup, Radek Wośko and Sebastian Zawadzki. The concert provided a unique meeting of two musical cultures, combining the expressiveness and emotional depth characteristic of the Polish artistic tradition with the Nordic minimalism, spaciousness and balanced forms associated with the Scandinavian approach to music.
The event offered an excellent opportunity to promote Polish culture in Denmark and to further strengthen cultural dialogue and cooperation between the two countries. The audience experienced a remarkable artistic project demonstrating how the creative exchange of ideas and inspirations can lead to new and compelling forms of expression.
We would like to thank all guests for joining us for this special evening, which became a celebration of music, creativity and Polish-Danish cultural cooperation.
