During the event, the Head of the Foreign Service addressed the diplomatic and consular trainees on behalf of Minister Zbigniew Rau: “The challenges facing today’s generation of diplomats call for special maturity and courage. This is because the international order has been seriously threatened. The developments across our eastern border, which undermine the freedom and the right to self-determination of a neighbouring state, remind us forcefully of the responsibility that our demanding profession entails.

General Władysław Sikorski once said: Today it is time for strong and courageous people because only they can achieve victory and rid the world of tyranny. I hope this is the attitude you will adopt,” stressed Head of the Foreign Service Piotr Rychlik.

During the ceremony, diplomatic ranks were conferred on 20 persons who completed diplomatic and consular training and on six employees of the MFA who passed the diplomatic and consular exam in June 2023.
