While full circumstances remain of the event remain unknown, it is reported by numerous sources and requires a complete and credible explanation. Deputy Minister called for an unfettered access to information, including the admission of independent observers and journalists to the region, and for conducting an independent investigation. Jabłoński also demanded that unrestricted access to humanitarian supplies for Tigray province population is granted.

The Ambassador assured that the Ethiopian authorities are taking all possible steps to stabilize the situation in Tigray and to explain reports, which - as she emphasized - are often untrue or biased.

During the conversation, the Deputy Minister underlined the need to protect civilian population and to respect basic human rights by parties to the conflict, as well as the need to bring those responsible for violations to justice. The place of Ethiopia as Poland’s friend and partner was also confirmed, as well as the importance of successfull political, economic and trade cooperation of both countries.
