“The fact that Minister Stergomena Tax has chosen Poland as her first foreign visit is a testament to the importance that the two sides attach to our relations,” said Minister Rau. “I’m convinced that this visit will provide additional strong impetus for their continued growth,” he added.

At their meeting, the ministers made a comprehensive review of bilateral relations, focusing on projects run in Tanzania by Polish companies as part of an intergovernmental loan. The talks covered other promising collaboration areas such as water management and the digital switchover of urban services. Also discussed was development cooperation, where Tanzania is one of Poland’s priority partners. Prospects for developing air traffic and the continued expansion of student exchanges were other items on the talks agenda.

Finally, Ministers Rau and Tax shared their assessments of the impacts of Russia’s aggression on Ukraine.
