Minister Jacek Czaputowicz to attend extraordinary Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) meeting in Brussels
09.01.2020
The recent developments in Iraq, rising tensions in the US-Iran relations, and Iran’s further steps violating the 2015 nuclear deal (the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, JCPOA) will be discussed by the Foreign Affairs Council that will hold an extraordinary meeting in Brussels on Friday. The Polish delegation will be headed by Minister Jacek Czaputowicz.
EU foreign ministers will talk about the need for the Community to take measures to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East. They will also discuss the growing threat of destabilising Iraq, which the EU should strive to prevent.
