Minister Radosław Sikorski talks with head of New Zealand’s diplomacy

Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski held a phone conversation today with his New Zealand counterpart Winston Peters. The consultations focused on bilateral issues, support for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s aggression, and the security situation in the Indo-Pacific region.

The ministers discussed the future development of bilateral relations and agreed on the need to strengthen them, both in their political and economic dimension. They also referred to this year’s 80th anniversary of the arrival of "Children of Pahiatua" to New Zealand.

Minister Sikorski thanked his counterpart for New Zealand’s critical position regarding Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, including for regular implementation of subsequent rounds of sanctions to strengthen the international sanctioning regime.
