The diplomats talked about the current issues on the bilateral agenda and exchanged views on the situation in the region, global problems, and security matters. Discussing the latter, Minister Zbigniew Rau pointed out that the Russian aggression against Ukraine constitutes a violation of international law and that Russia is committing crimes, including crimes against the civilian population. The head of Polish diplomacy emphasised that any attempts to support Russia, particularly by supplying arms or military equipment, are unacceptable and should not take place.

During the conversation, the head of the Polish MFA also referred to the recent public protests in Iran, stressing the need to refrain from violence and to clarify the circumstances in which violence was used.
