Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski expressed satisfaction with the very good state of bilateral relations, as evidenced by strong economic cooperation. The ministers agreed about the need to further enhance political relations, including through high-level visits in the near future. 

The two also raised the escalating conflict in the Middle East and its impacts on international security. Minister Sikorski emphasised that Poland supports building a lasting peace between Israel and Palestine by means of diplomacy.

Speaking about Ukraine in the context of his recent travel to Kyiv, Poland’s top diplomat said that the situation there remains very difficult, which is why it is crucial to sustain international support for the country.
