The Office of the Head of the Foreign Service supports the Head of the Foreign Service and the Director General of the Foreign Service in performing his duties, namely prepares formal documentation, oversees implementation of decisions of the Head of the Foreign Service and the Director General of the Foreign Service.

In addition, Office organises sessions of Foreign Service Covenant, which evaluates candidates for ambassadorial posts.

The Office of the Head of the Foreign Service coordinates drafting of organisational rules of the MFA’s internal units and of Polish diplomatic missions abroad. It coordinates management control, risk management and exercises methodological supervision of project management.
