On 25-26 June, the Permanent Representation of Poland to the EU hosted the "All Hands on Deck against FIMI" conference in Brussels. The event gathered a large audience of MEPs, European Commission, and EEAS officials, alongside Member States diplomats, NGO representatives, academia, and think-tank experts.

The event effectively served as a pilot phase for organizing the Stakeholder Platform itself under the European Centre for Democratic Resilience (ECDR). Day 2 featured a dedicated workshop titled “Stakeholders Platform (SP): Mandate, Composition, Resourcing,” which successfully tested its future application.

Key conclusions & next steps:

  • Continuous Format: The workshop highlighted that continued meetings in this specific format should be actively pursued to maintain momentum.
  • Whole-of-Society Value: The platform will bring immense added value to the Centre’s operations if a whole-of-society approach is fully implemented.
  • Broad Engagement: Moving forward, the Platform will be instrumental in engaging the broadest possible community of FIMI defenders across member states and partner countries.
