Processing of Personal Data

Information clause on the processing of personal data by the Permanent Representation

This information ensures compliance with the obligation laid down in Article 13 and Article 14 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC, hereinafter referred to as the “GDPR.”

  1. The controller of the personal data, within the meaning of Article 4(7) of the GDPR, is the Minister of Foreign Affairs seated in Poland, Warsaw, Al. J. Ch. Szucha 23, whereas the entity performing the duties of the controller of personal data is the head of the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the European Union seated in in Brussels, Rue Stevin 139, 1000 Brussels.

  3. The data is processed pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, i.e., based on the data subject’s consent to participate in events organized or co-organized by the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the EU.
  4. Providing personal data is voluntary, but required to participate in the event.
  5. The data will be processed until the purpose of processing referred to in point 3 no longer applies or until consent to its processing is withdrawn. In such a case, please send the relevant information to events.pleu@msz.gov.pl.
  6. Only authorised employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the EU have access to the data.
  7. Personal data may be disclosed to third parties authorized to access it under applicable law. A separate category of recipients consists of entities that process personal data on behalf of the Controller, particularly in connection with signed agreements, such as IT service providers.
  8. The data will/will not be transferred to a third country or to an international organization.
  9. The data subject has the right to control the processing of personal data, as specified in Articles 15-19 of the GDPR, in particular the right to access and rectify their personal data, the right to remove them and restrict their processing, and in Article 21 (the right to object), if applicable.
  10. Personal data will not be processed by automated means in a manner that could affect the process of making decisions capable of producing legal effects or otherwise create a significant impact. The data will not be subject to profiling.
  11. The data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority
