"Today's meeting is important politically and economically. Economically, first of all, because we have to look after the interests of our farmers and the food processing sector," said the head of the Polish government.

The leaders' meeting was an opportunity for multilateral talks, as well as bilateral meetings and behind-the-scenes discussions. Rich in raw materials and with a population of 655 million, the region of Latin America and the Caribbean is an attractive economic partner for Poland and provides opportunities to diversify our markets. Among the topics discussed were issues related to cooperation in multilateral fora, world peace and stability, just transition, trade, economic recovery, research, as well as justice and security for citizens.

On the sidelines of the EU-CELAC Summit, Prime Minister Morawiecki met with Colombian President Gustavo Petro and Argentinian President Alberto Fernandez in Brussels.
