The discussion emphasized the need to strengthen actions to counteract the irregular migration. Ministers assessed that the European Union's development aid, combined with the support of other partners and private investments, should contribute to stimulating economic development in developing countries. It is also crucial to strengthen political stability as well as improve border protection and fight against criminal groups involved in smuggling people.

There are already over a million Ukrainians and Belarusians in Poland who have decided to leave their countries in search of better and non-threatening living conditions. For refugees fleeing the war and violence, Poland is a place where they find safety.
