10th anniversary of the ZUS Electronic Services Platform

28.06.2022

– Digitisation of services is a direction which we will not abandon – said Minister Marlena Maląg during the jubilee conference on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the ZUS Electronic Services Platform and the Call Centre. She mentioned numerous government programmes implemented by the Ministry of Family and Social Policy, which are available online for Poles.

10th anniversary of the ZUS Electronic Services Platform

The ZUS Electronic Services Platform is the first e-office in Poland. It enables online access to many ZUS services, is a source of information and gives an opportunity to create documents on our own. For the first time, ZUS clients could log in to PUE ZUS just 10 years ago. At the same time, they could start using the services of the Call Centre, i.e. the nationwide ZUS hotline. Today, PUE ZUS and COT are the basic tools of access to ZUS services for millions of Poles.

Benefits mostly via the Internet

– ZUS is at the forefront of the digital revolution in Poland – said Minister Maląg during the conference held at the First Branch of ZUS in Warsaw. She added that in 2016, when we introduced the „Family 500 Plus” benefit, fewer than 20% of applications were submitted online. Today, we have the opposite situation.

Billions of PLN go to Polish families thanks to the efficient implementation of the IT system by ZUS. Parents submit applications only electronically, also in the case of Family Care Capital, when applying for a subsidy for nursery care or for funds from the „Good Start” programme.

Minister Maląg reminded that the symbol of the digital revolution that public administration had undergone is also the period of fighting against the coronavirus pandemic. Saving jobs through instruments implemented such as the Anti-Crisis Shield or the Solidarity Allowance was also carried out online by ZUS.

Savings for the budget

– This is not only a huge facilitation for citizens, but also savings for the budget – pointed out Minister Maląg. – We can transfer the saved funds to other social programmes.

In the opinion of Minister Maląg, ZUS has become a major centre, providing valuable information and digital solutions thanks to which we can function efficiently. On the occasion of the jubilee, Minister Marlena Maląg congratulated the President of ZUS, Prof. Gertruda Uścińska and the whole team of employees of the Institution.

ZUS as a centre of family benefits

Prof. Gertruda Uścińska stated that ZUS is currently a modern centre of family benefits. The last important task was to pay benefits to the Ukrainians who arrived in Poland after 24 February. It was also possible to submit applications electronically.

– Soon, we will become part of the gov.pl platform – announced the President of ZUS.
