The meeting was focused on the protection of rights of foster care children evacuated from Ukraine, and the possibility of improving mutual cooperation in this area.

During the meeting, the issue of registering children evacuated from Ukraine without their legal guardians and access to registers for the Ukrainian side was raised.

Both sides agreed to establish an inter-ministerial Polish-Ukrainian staff, dedicated to further improvement of cooperation, coordinating and reacting on an ongoing basis to difficulties emerging in the area of evacuation of foster care children from Ukraine and their further stay in Poland.

It is very important for us to clarify any doubt-raising issues with the Ukrainian side and agree on common positions and actions to be taken, emphasized Deputy Minister Socha.

The Ukrainian side expressed gratitude to Poland for its help and support, as well as for the efficient cooperation of both administrations.
