Awarded for initiative in favour of families

The Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy Marlena Maląg awarded the Meritis pro Familia Badges of Honour for the first time on Sunday to the persons distinguished for pro-family measures. - It is a special and particularly honourable distinction - stresses the head of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy. The Badges were awarded during the Sunday celebrations related to the III National Festival “Thankful for Polish Farmers”.

Odznaczeni Meritis pro Familia

The Meritis pro Familia badge of honour was established by the Council of Ministers on June 4th this year. Meritis pro Familia is an honourable badge of recognition awarded to natural persons, as well as organisations and institutions for merits related to actions in favour of families.

The badges were awarded for the first time during the Sunday celebrations related to the III National Festival “Thankful for Polish Farmers” in Pólk near Bralin, organised at the initiative of the Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

- Awarding the Meritis pro Familia Badges of Honour to those who excel at measures in favour of the family was a great pleasure. Family was of greatest value, not only for the entire government and the Ministry of Family, but to the majority of Polish citizens - says the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy Marlena Maląg.

The distinctions were awarded

The Meritis pro Familia Badge of Honour was awarded to 13 people with exceptional private or professional achievements for the benefit of the family. It means daily struggle and work for the benefit of the Nation, the local community, devotion to another human being.

The awards were also granted to the Culture and Sports Association in Opatów and the Jean Paul II Group of Schools in Marchwacz.

– I wish to wholeheartedly congratulate all the honoured. I am very happy that we can use this method to appreciate the people, organisations and institutions who contribute to, among others, establishing a positive image of Polish family and provide factual support - stresses the Minister Marlena Maląg.

The Meritis pro Familia Badge of Honour is awarded at the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy’s own initiative, as well as per request of: a Minister, a Head of a Central Office, a Member of Parliament, a senator, a local office of the central government or an office of a local government.
