Barbara Socha appointed as the Government Plenipotentiary for Demographic Policy

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki appointed Barbara Socha as the Government Plenipotentiary for Demographic Policy. The plenipotentiary’s tasks will include preparing a demographic strategy that will increase fertility and promote the model of traditional family.

On Wednesday (27 November), the Council of Ministers adopted a regulation establishing the post of Government Plenipotentiary for Demographic Policy. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki appointed as plenipotentiary Barbara Socha, former communications director, press officer and industrial marketing director for Central and Eastern Europe at IBM Polska. 

Barbara Socha is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics (in banking and economic policy) and the University of Warsaw (postgraduate journalist studies). From June 2018, she has also been dealing with research projects and coordination of social campaigns at the Fundacja Mama i Tata foundation. She is the president of the Stowarzyszenie Ruch 4 Marca association.

The tasks of the Government Plenipotentiary for Demographic Policy are to prepare a demographic strategy, which will primarily increase fertility.
