Care and residential centres. Call for applications for the programme is underway

Combining independent living with support provided by a qualified staff is the major task of care and residential centres. – This year, we are allocating PLN 30 million for the implementation of tasks as part of the ongoing call for applications for the programme – says Paweł Wdówik, Deputy Minister of Family and Social Policy and Government Plenipotentiary for Disabled People.

Care and residential centres are to combine independent living with support provided by a qualified staff by helping in performing basic life activities. This will improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities, allow them to function independently and with dignity according to their needs.

– Persons with disabilities should have the right to decide on the type of assistance they want to use, the way of its provision and should have a type of service standard guaranteed according to their needs – says Paweł Wdówik, Deputy Minister of Family and Social Policy and Government Plenipotentiary for Disabled People.

The role of the centres is to provide residential services in the form of a round-the-clock stay or a day stay.

Call for applications

The call for applications for the „Care and Residential Centres” programme is underway. In 2022, the amount of PLN 30 million was allocated for the implementation of the tasks.

Applications are submitted by a municipality/district to the competent voivode:

  • Module I (establishment and equipment of the centre) – by 16 August.
  • Module II (functioning of the centre) – continuous call for applications

Next, the voivode provides to the Minister of Family and Social Policy an application for the resources from the Solidarity Fund under the programme, together with a list of applications recommended for financing – under the scope of Module I – by 16 September 2022, under the scope of Module II – within 30 days from the date of receipt of the application by the voivode.
