The Department of Family Policy is responsible for coordinating pro-family policy, implementing tasks relating to fostering benefit, family care capital, child-rearing benefit, family benefits, good start benefit, carer's allowance, alimony fund benefits, proceedings against alimony debtors, the Large Family Card, care for a child up to the age of three, including subsidising the reduction of a parent's fee for a child's stay in a crèche, a children's club or with a day carer, as well as other non-insurance cash social benefits for the family.
