Eurostat. Unemployment in Poland is decreasing

The latest data published by Eurostat bring good news. In July, the unemployment rate in Poland amounted to 3.4%. A month before, it was 3.6%. Meanwhile, across the European Union, unemployment in July amounted to 6.9%. – The situation is clearly improving, we are also well above the EU average – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

From the latest Eurostat data it results that this July the unemployment rate in Poland amounted to 3.4%. This is good news. Just a month before, it was 3.6%. Unemployment was also higher this May and amounted to 3.8%.

The situation among young people has also improved. In July, unemployment among persons under 25 amounted to 12%. In June, it was 12.6%.

– The situation is clearly improving, the summer period and the possibility of seasonal work always entails a decrease in unemployment rates. This is good news. What is important, Poland is well below the EU average – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

The unemployment rate in the European Union amounted to 6.9% in July. A month before, it was 7.1%.

If we are talking about the eurozone, in July unemployment amounted to 7.6%. In June – 7.8%.
