Family picnic in Otwock

For the Polish government, family is the most important thing. The family is a strong foundation for a modern, developing state. The family is in its spotlight – said Minister Marlena Maląg in Otwock.

One of the most important government programmes implemented by the Ministry of Family and Social Policy to serve families, is „Toddler plus”. Its budget in the new edition is PLN 5.5 billion. The call for applications, as a result of which applications for creating nearly 88 thousand places of care for children under the age of three has just ended. Currently, there are more than 7,990 institutions in Poland, with 230 thousand such places.

More than PLN 300 billion for families

Since 2015, the government has allocated about PLN 310 billion for activities related to supporting Polish families. This is a real and measurable support on an unprecedented scale.

Under our rule, families know that they may expect state support. The family-oriented policy does not mean any incidental activities, but it is a consistent and long-term policy so as to allow young people to fulfil their dreams of starting a family – says Minister Marlena Maląg.

Care for small homelands

According to Deputy Minister Anita Czerwińska, Otwock is developing dynamically, here also the family-oriented policy is pursued consistently and efficiently. In Otwock, the new edition of the „Toddler plus” programme was used and soon another nursery will be created here.

This can be an example for all self-government officials how to care for their small homelands – added Deputy Minister Czerwińska.
