Helping hand in hand

Minister Marlena Maląg participated in a meeting with representatives of non-governmental organizations, devoted to the subject of cooperation in the field of assistance to Ukrainian citizens. The meeting, chaired by the deputy prime minister, prof. Piotr Gliński, was held at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

Helping hand in hand

Many non-governmental organizations are involved in activities for the benefit of Ukrainians coming to Poland. On April 21, their representatives talked to the government side, coordinating the aid operation.

Jobs for Ukrainian citizens

An important issue is the inclusion of Ukrainians coming to our country into the labor market. This is made possible by the special act - So far, 77 thousand people who came from Ukraine after February 24, have already started work, informed Minister Maląg. The government is intent on professional activation. For this purpose, special programs are being implemented, having already covered approx. 20 thousand people, summed up Minister Maląg.

Works on an application, that will allow to quickly connect employers willing to hire foreigners and people who want to take up employment, are also nearing completion.

Temporary caregivers with financial security

The Ministry of Family and Social Policy is also responsible for securing the stay of children, both those unaccompanied and those coming to Poland from orphanages.

Competitions for NGOs

The Ministry of Family and Social Policy announced a competition, addressed to, inter alia, non-governmental organizations: "Together We Can Do More - First Edition of the Activation Program for Foreigners for the years 2022–2023". Its goal is professional activation and social integration of foreigners staying legally in Poland, including people from Ukraine.

The Ministry of the Family has introduced the possibility of adjusting the offers co-financed under the competition: ‘From exclusion to activation. Edition 2022 - said Minister Marlena Maląg. They are currently better tailored to the needs related to assistance for Ukrainian citizens, provided by social employment entities - Social Integration Clubs and Centers, some of them run by non-governmental organizations.
