In the new year, the minimum remuneration is going up

As from 1 January 2022, the minimum remuneration will increase to PLN 3,010. It is essential to take measures to improve the financial situation of households, especially in the case of the lowest earners. This group of employees should be particularly protected at the present time when we are still facing the consequences of the pandemic – says Marlena Maląg, the Minister of Family and Social Policy.

In the new year, the minimum remuneration is going up

The minimum remuneration in the coming year will increase to PLN 3,010. This is the amount higher by PLN 210 than the current minimum remuneration, which means an increase by 7.5%.

This means that in 2022 the minimum remuneration for work will account for 50.8% of the average remuneration in the national economy.

The hourly rate related to the minimum remuneration has been set at PLN 19.70, i.e. it increased by PLN 1.40 in relation to 2021.

The increase in the minimum remuneration is a consistent measure of the government to improve the situation of the lowest earners. In 2022, the minimum remuneration will be by PLN 1,260 higher than in 2015.
