17.06.2025
Summarising the work done so far and setting the activities for the next six months were the main topics of the MISSOC group meeting held in Warsaw on 17-18 June 2025. The event was organised as part of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
MISSOC, or the Mutual Information System on Social Protection, is an electronic database of information on the social protection systems of the European Union Member States. The database is available in three languages: English, French and German. It allows users to search for information on social protection systems using 12 structured tables and to compare these systems, despite their great diversity.
The MISSOC group met in Warsaw on 17-18 June 2025. The event was officially opened by Sebastian Gajewski, Deputy Minister for Family, Labour and Social Policy, who is responsible at the ministry for, among other things, issues relating to the coordination of social security systems.
The aim of the two-day meeting of the MISSOC group in Warsaw was primarily to take stock of the group's work to date and to identify activities for the next six months. Participants at the meeting also worked on modifying one of the MISSOC thematic boards.
Experts and representatives of Member States also discussed, among other things, reforms of social protection systems introduced in EU countries, including new legal solutions of the Presidency state, exchanged information on new developments in the field of social protection, and the EU Social Agenda was presented.
