Inauguration of the activities of the Centre for Social Development in Boguchwała

The municipality of Boguchwała is implementing two very much-needed projects, opening a common room for children and young people and a day support facility that will help families in their daily functioning – said the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg at the Centre for Social Development in Boguchwała.

On Friday, the Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg took part in the inauguration of the activities of the Centre for Social Development in Boguchwała, which will support the family in day-to-day functioning by creating a common room for children and young people and a day support facility for families. Then, she visited the Centre for Support of Entrepreneurship in this town.

- The Centre for Social Development is a model which we will pursue within the framework of the Polish Order. Boguchwała is a precursor of this type of solutions. We will create such intergenerational centres throughout Poland – as the Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg said in Boguchwała.

For implementing the project, the municipality of Boguchwała received nearly PLN 1 million of co-financing from the funds of the European Social Fund.

Much-needed projects in Boguchwała

In turn, as part of the first edition of the call for applications of the Polish Order Government Fund, from the Strategic Investment Programme Boguchwała will receive more than PLN 8 million of co-financing, which local authorities want to allocate for building a nursery and a kindergarten.

The Minister pointed out that thanks to the implementation of the Toddler+ programme, only in 2021 25 thousand of care places for children below 3 will be created. Only in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, more than a thousand places will be prepared, while the total amount of co-financing in this region for the creation of new places and the functioning of existing ones is nearly PLN 20 million.

In turn, for child-raising benefits from the Family 500+ programme, families in Boguchwała have already received PLN 102.5 million, and the support covered nearly 4.2 thousand children.

Polish Order – additional support for families

- This is a change in the way of thinking and an investment in families – says Minister Maląg. – We want our country to develop even more intensely. Our economy and society need additional strength for this development to take place. That is why the Polish Order shows the lines of action – she added.

Minister Marlena Maląg reiterated that as part of the Polish Order, programmes addressed to families will be launched, i.e. Family Care Capital or Flat without own contribution. From 1 January 2022, also old age and disability pensioners receiving benefits of up to PLN 2,500 gross will be exempt from tax, and others will pay lower taxes.
