Joint declaration by The Ministers of Social Affairs

Minister Marlena Maląg and the Ministers of Social Affairs of the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania and Slovakia signed a joint declaration condemning the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

– We express our full solidarity with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people and we strongly condemn the Russian aggression – wrote the Ministers in the declaration.

The signatories confirmed their willingness to cooperate in providing assistance to Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war. It will include access to labour markets and guarantee the necessary care and benefits for the youth and other vulnerable and needy people.

They also declared their full readiness to take all possible measures to provide the refugees with accommodation and to help them live with dignity in our countries during the war. The Ministers also called upon the European Commission to support the efforts in these matters, taken by the Central European member states, with specific measures.
