The tasks of the Family Council will include:

  • initiating and supporting activities to promote family-oriented culture and the promotion of a traditional family;
  • developing directions for action to improve the demographic situation in Poland;
  • presenting the minister proposals regarding demographic policy in Poland.

– The Strategy for Responsible Development indicates that adverse demographic trends are one of the most important challenges for the development of our country and that they should be the reference point for planning and implementing any development activities. The appointment of the Plenipotentiary for Demographic Policy and the Family Council shows how seriously we approach this issue. I am convinced that together we will contribute to the creation of a comprehensive demographic strategy and strengthen the traditional family – says Marlena Maląg, Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy.

Plenipotentiary to be supported by the Council

The Family Council will support the Government Plenipotentiary for Demographic Policy, Barbara Socha, in the preparation of the demographic strategy.

– We want to ask the Family Council, our eminent experts, for further ideas and solutions in the area of social life that will give a solid foundation of value. Every country that wants to develop must place family in the centre. As it is the basic for the life of our society and state – said Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, during the ceremony of appointing members of the Family Council.
