Minister Marlena Maląg honoured with a jubilee medal awarded by the student community

The Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg, was awarded the commemorative medal for shaping entrepreneurial, social and solidarity-based attitudes.

The medal was awarded by representatives of the Board of the Foundation for the Development of Student Community - Ms Anna Bulka and Ms Anita Strzebońska. This year marks the 120th anniversary of the establishment of student cooperatives in Poland. The idea behind establishing cooperatives was to work together for common benefits, which was also adopted at schools.

The Foundation for the Development of Student Community, on behalf of the community of over 800 pupil cooperatives as well as activists and supporters of this form of activity presented the medal as an expression of their gratitude to the Ministry's Management for consistently taking up the topic of pupil cooperatives in the context of social and solidarity economy.

The Ministry of the Family headed by Minister Maląg has been consistently implementing tasks related to social and solidarity-based economy, whose basic objective is the professional activation and social integration, including, among others, professional and social reintegration of people at risk of social exclusion. One of the programmes and strategic documents, which sets out the key directions of public policy in favour of social economy and social enterprises is the National Programme for Social Economy Development.
