Ministry of Family and Social Policy: Unemployment rate still at the level of 5.1%

We are constantly monitoring the situation in the labour market. From the data, we can see that the unemployment rate still remains unchanged, which makes us very glad. The favourable situation in the labour market in Poland results from, inter alia, the powerful state intervention in the form of an anti-crisis shield and a financial shield. Today, we are a country with one of the lowest unemployment rates in the EU – says Minister Marlena Maląg.

At the end of November 2022, the registered unemployment rate ranged from 2.9% in the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship to 8.7% in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.

At the end of November 2022, 801.5 thousand unemployed persons were registered with labour offices. At the end of November 2022, the registers of unemployed persons included 97.3 thousand (i.e. by 10.8%) fewer persons than at the end of November 2021.

Last month (according to the preliminary data), employers reported 77.2 thousand vacancies and places of professional activation to labour offices.
