The President signed the lawsPresident Andrzej Duda has signed amendments to laws allowing for the introduction of programmes that will allow for the payment of PLN 1,000 gross allowances to employees in social assistance, foster care and institutions for the care of the youngest children as from 1 July this year.

Because work and family do not have to be mutually exclusive, and every toddler deserves to be cared for, emphasises the Minister for Family, Labour and Social Policy, Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk. 08.05.2024April with lowest unemployment since 1990At the end of April 2024, the registered unemployment rate was 5.1% and 798,500 people were unemployed, according to estimates from the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy. Counting since 1991, there has never been a lower number of unemployed people or a lower registered unemployment rate in April.

06.05.2024Eurostat: Poland with the lowest unemployment rate in the EUIn March this year, the unemployment rate in Poland - calculated according to Eurostat methodology - was 2.9 %, placing us on the first place among the EU countries with the lowest level of unemployment. The same result was recorded by the Czech Republic, which had led this ranking in previous months.
