After the introduction of the first stage of the "For Life" programme, it's time for the next instalment. Thanks to the Senate's adoption of the amendment to the Act on Vocational and Social Rehabilitation and Employment of People with Disabilities, the second stage of the "For Life" programme will soon become a fact.

The system of support for disabled people and their families will be based on three pillars. The first pillar consists of a solidarity support fund for people with disabilities. The second pillar is the social responsibility package, and the third - the "Accessibility +" programme - explained Minister Elżbieta Rafalska during the presentation of new solutions, together with the Minister of Finance Teresa Czerwińska. 

Increasing the social benefits and introducing special rights to the access to healthcare services, pharmaceutical services and medical devices for people with a significant degree of disability - is the effect of the adoption of the two Acts in this matter by the Senate. 

In 2017, the PiS government allocated a record PLN 17.4 billion to support disabled persons and their caretakers. It is over PLN 2.85 billion more than in 2015. The increase in budget expenses allows for satisfying a wider range of needs of disabled persons and their caretakers. 

In Poland, according to the estimates by the Eurostat, unemployment rate was 4.4% in March 2018.
