A two-times lower number of unemployed people, shorter periods of unemployment, decreased unemployment among graduates and an unemployment rate lower by almost half – this is how the job market has changed over the last 26 years.

On March 16th , 2018, Minister Stanisław Szwed met with Mr. Eugenio Ambrosi, Regional Director of International Organization for Migration (IOM) for the European Economic Area, EU, Norway and Switzerland.

Introduction of homeless people shelter with care services as an additional type of facility, the possibility of sheltering a homeless person awaiting placement in a social care home or resignation from the social contract requirement - these are the most important solutions adopted unanimously by the Senate and without amendments to the Act on Social Assistance.

Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydło, Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy Elżbieta Rafalska and Secretary of State, Government Plenipotentiary for Disabled People Krzysztof Michałkiewicz took part in the event summarizing public consultations on the changes in the legal system for implementing For Life Programme.

Chairman of the Commission, Marcin Zieleniecki, the Deputy State Secretary, Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy announced during the press briefing that Codification Commission of Labour Law passed the resolution on adopting two legislations: Labour Code and Collective Labour Law Code.

On March 13-14, 2018, the conference Social and Technological Innovations - A Full Participation of Persons with Disabilities took place in Budapest.

On March 8th, Minister E. Rafalska met with Mr Sghaier Fatnassi, Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia in Poland. 

In Poland, according to the estimates by the Eurostat, unemployment rate was 4.5% in January 2018.

On February 23rd Minister S. Szwed participated in the conference  The future of society: demographic situation and family policies in the Baltic States and Central European countries, organised by Lithuanian parliament in Vilnius.
