Poland in February with the lowest unemployment in the EU!

In February this year Poland ranked first in the European Union with the lowest level of unemployment. This time we did not share our position as leaders with another country – the Czech Republic took second place. Third on the podium was Malta.
Great news on the labour market is coming from the European Union. Eurostat data shows that in February 2025, unemployment in Poland was the lowest in the EU at 2.6 per cent, the same as in the previous month (calculated according to Eurostat methodology).
In February of this year, the number of unemployed individuals was 466,000, remaining unchanged from January.
The Czech Republic came second in February with an unemployment rate of 2.7 per cent. Interestingly, in the previous month we shared the first place on the podium with the Czech Republic. In February this year, Malta took third place.
Statistics Poland confirms: the labour market in Poland is doing well
Statistics Poland reported that at the end of February this year, the registered unemployment rate was 5.4 per cent, remaining at the same level as a year ago and the previous month. Importantly, the registered unemployment rate at the end of February was 0.1 percentage points lower than the estimate provided by the Ministry of Labour.
At the end of February 2025, according to Statistics Poland, 846.6 thousand unemployed people were registered in labour offices.
