Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki assured that even in the current difficult times, the government will not abandon the policy of consistent support for elderly people. – The seniors have been treated badly for years – said the Prime Minister. – Now, we fix this situation consistently, step by step.

We will continue to support Seniors

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki recalled this year’s highest, for many years, indexation of old age and disability pension benefits, the 13th pension being paid and the 14th pension planned for the second half of the year. He stressed that this is possible thanks to the tightening of the tax system and the reform of the state budget.

– Although we carefully watch every PLN we spend, we will continue to support you – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki to the Seniors gathered at the meeting. It is a form of saying thank you for your experience, kindness and many years of work for Poland.

New Homes and Clubs to be created

Minister Marlena Maląg stressed that the government’s senior policy is based on two pillars: securing their financial situation and activating them. An example of measures aimed at activity in the autumn of life is the development of the network of Senior’s Homes and Clubs. – In 2015, there were a hundred of them, now there are 1,100 and new ones are still created – said Minister Maląg.

It is complemented by the government’s programme entitled „Active+”, thanks to which non-governmental organisations can organise attractive and valuable activities for elderly people. – Every year, the Ministry of Family and Social Policy allocates one hundred million PLN for both programmes – reiterated Minister Maląg.

Minister Marlena Maląg also conveyed the Easter wishes to the Seniors and gave them gifts.

143 Homes and Clubs in Mazowsze

In the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, where Wola Karczewska is located, there are already 143 Senior’s Homes and Clubs with 3.5 thousand places.

This year, the co-financing from the „Senior+” government programme for the functioning of existing and the creation of new facilities will be PLN 6.5 million here. Thanks to this, seven more facilities will be established.
