PRO FAMILIA employer. Debate at the Ministry of Family and Social Policy

About 72% of Poles think that employers pay attention to the family-oriented policy in the workplace and try to create conditions for combining work and family life – as it results from the study by Kantar conducted upon request of the Ministry of Family and Social Policy.

During the address opening the debate “Pro familia employer – what does it mean in practice?”, the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg, stressed that support for families has been in the spotlight of the government from the very beginning.

– For the last 6 years, step by step, we have been implementing family-oriented programmes. Since the beginning of the “Family 500+” programme, Polish families have already received PLN 165 billion – stressed Minister Maląg. – When creating the family-oriented policy, we are building a broad coalition – it is the activities of the government, local government, non-governmental organisations, and now we are including employers in this support. Our objective is to build Poland based on a strong foundation of the family – she added.

Women in the labour market

Minister Marlena Maląg also spoke about the situation of women in the labour market.

– The situation of women in the labour market is also extremely important in the context of family-oriented activities. And this has improved over the last years.
