The fourteenth pension payments will start in only 3 weeks - on 25 August of the current year. 

We have decided to make the fourteenth pension payments this year as well, because we care about safeguarding the financial situaion of Polish seniors as much as possible, in particular those living on the lowest pensions. This support is really important - states Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg.

Who can receive the fourteenth pension payment? In what amount?

Thos pensioners who draw up to PLN 2,900 will receive the ‘fourteent’ pension payment in the total amount. This is PLN 1,338.44.

Following the previous year, the ‘zloty per zloty’ mechanism will apply, which will ensure that exceeding the threashold by PLN 200 or so will not cause that the righ to the additional payment is lost. For those drawing more than PLN 2,900, the fourteenth pension payment will be reduced by the surplus - explains Minister Marlena Maląg.

Over PLN 11 billion for the ‘fourteenth’ pension payments in 2022.

This year, approx. 9 million people will receive the fourteenth pension payment - approx. 7.7 million pensioners will receive the total amount and approx. 1.3 million the decreased amount. In 2022, approx. PLN 11.4 billion have been allocated for that.

What is important, the fourteenth pension payment will be made ex officio, which does not require an application to be submitted.

Important deadlines!

The first fourteenth pensions payments will start on 25 August. The subsequent payment dates are set by the Social Security Institution for: 1, 5, 6, 10, 15 and 20 September.
